Minister's Message:
The Holy Art Of Contemplation
Part Two: The Pivot
Last week I spoke of what is contemplation and the first step which is the PAUSE
A. What “contemplation” is (in Rudd’s sense)
Not “thinking about” something to reach a conclusion
A gentle inner listening that lets meaning ripen in its own time
An embodied way of knowing: insight arises when the nervous system softens.
B. What contemplation is not
Not willpower, self-improvement strain, or mental analysis.
Not bypassing (using spirituality to avoid emotion/trauma).
Not performance (“doing it right”)—it’s relational, alive.
The Pause Creating space inside life (not escaping life) inteurrpts the sense of Urgency and allows the body to Exhale.
This week I will move on to the next part: The Pivot
Turning toward the deeper Truth inside an experience
JOIN us this week as we see how awareness of ourselves teaches us to ask more truthful questions.
